Weekly Project #5 - Puppy Dog Pins

You guessed it! Another project from Wee Wonderful. I have come to the conclusion that I will do all the projects that interest me from the book before I start on my list of other projects. I'm on a roll. Why stop now? : )
Anyway, she had these dogs as necklaces in her book. I wanted to try them as pins so Sydney could wear them on her backpack. They are pretty tiny and very lovable.

Summer Veggies

How about corn on the cob for dinner? It's in season right now at the real grocery store. This one...is part of a custom order.

Weekly Project #4 - The Ellie Bag

I am continuing to sew through the Wee Wonderful Book. Today's project is the Ellie Bag. It's a purse with a little room on the inside for small toys and chapstick. The grey fabric is thrifted wool skirt found at the Goodwill. The directions were clear and the purse went together perfectly. I swear, the cuteness factor of this book is just over the top!

Is It Monday Again?

Goodness, it's another week. I've got lots planned. You should see my "To Do" list! Here's hoping I can get it all done.
I just have to share this picture of my youngest daughter in the play kitchen. She loves it already. The banging of the pots and throwing of food...
There's nothing like starting them out early. : )
I'll be back later this week with my weekly project. Have a good one!

Weekly Project #3 - Bear

Today's project is a pattern from Hillary Lang's Wee Wonderful Book. This book is filled with really great projects for toys and just overall cuteness. I made this bear from a thrifted cashmere sweater so it is super soft. It was a straight forward pattern and I was able to make him in just one day. I can't wait to try more of the patterns from the book!

The button joints makes his arms and legs moveable.
I think he's super cute!

Little Bird Cross Stitch

The project for this week: Little Bird Cross Stitch. I found the pattern at Kattuna. It's such a sweet little bird and the heart was hard to pass up. I struggled over the color I wanted to use. I ended up using a tye-dye reddish/pink strand of embroidery floss. That's why it has stripes. I really like the pattern but I think next time I'll go with a yellow. I think it's a lot cuter in person too.
