The Real Thing!

After I made my felt one, I couldn't help myself. I had to make the real thing! The family was really happy too.

I used 2 white cake mixes, divided the batter into 6 bowls, mixed in the food coloring gel. I used the disposable foil cake molds to make it even easier. I was able to fix all 6 cake layers into my oven at the same time. After they baked and cooled, I could put everything together. I made a simple buttercream frosting for the icing. It ended up going faster than I expected and it was delicious!
